Ingredient list

¼ cup olive oil ½ cup pine nuts 2 cups firmly packed fresh basil leaves ½ cup finely shredded Parmesan cheese 4 cloves garlic, peeled and quartered ¼ tsp. salt Ground black pepper

Preparation

- In a food processor or blender, combine oil, pine nuts, basil, cheese, garlic, and salt. Cover and process or blend until nearly smooth, stopping and scraping side of container as necessary. Add pepper to taste. Toss with pasta or gnocchi, spoon over grilled or broiled fish or shellfish, or stir into finished minestrone or risotto. Makes ¾ cup.
