Tomato-Basil Sauce

Ingredient list

1 can diced tomatoes (28 oz.) 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste 1 tsp. dried oregano 1 tsp. dried basil ¼ cup chopped fresh basil Salt and pepper (or crushed red pepper for heat)

Preparation

- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine diced tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano and dried basil. Bring to a simmer and let simmer at least 10 minutes and up to 30 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in fresh basil. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
